My name is Dedrian and i am a happy wife of four beautiful children and a lovely husband. 

 I work full time as a school counselor and on March 2018 my life changed. At the age of 42, i was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. I never smoked, i excersized regularly,  and ate somewhat well- except for the occasional indulgence in junk food like most people. 

This cancer was discovered in a regular routine mammogram. I never felt a lump yet but by the time i received the diagnosis the cancer spread to my lymph nodes making it exceptionally aggressive. I felt like my life was ending, however,  God has a plan for my life. 

You see, i have known this to be true for decades but such news can rock your faith. Chemotherapy,  radiation, a double mastectomy, lymphedema,  and physical therapy were all very tough but through God's help and the help and love of my husband,  children, coworkers, friends, and family- I MADE IT! 

I am CANCER FREE today and am ecstatically praising the Lord for life, health, family, and friends. I am also learning not to let life's worries stress me, which is my new mindset because the old me worried about everything! 

I am happy to share my journey with others because a cancer diagnosis is the worst news someone can receive. I know my testimony will help someone so how can i not share what God has brought me through?
